Sesame is the oldest oilseed crop known to humanity. It has fed civilizations, fueled cuisines, and delighted taste buds across every continent. But somewhere along the way, America forgot about it. We decided to change that.
SEZO was born in Canton, Michigan in 2024 with a ridiculously simple idea: sesame should be as American as peanut butter. We saw a seed that was hiding in plain sight — packed with protein, rich in flavor, incredibly versatile — and wondered why it wasn't already in every pantry in the country.
So we got to work. We source the finest sesame seeds, craft them into products people actually crave, and do it all with zero shortcuts. No artificial anything. No compromise on flavor. Just honest, premium sesame food made by people who genuinely love what they do.

Our very first product rolled off the line — a smooth, stone-ground tahini that set the standard for everything that followed.
Expanded Product Line
From halva and sesame bars to cookies, oils, and spreads — we grew our lineup to over 30 products, all rooted in the mighty sesame seed.
Retail Partnerships Launched
Local stores and specialty retailers across Michigan started stocking SEZO. The word was spreading — sesame was having its moment.
